Verifying the proper design, installation and operation of building systems from initial design through occupancy and operation is the key to successfully commissioning a building. A prerequisite to be eligible for the USBGC's LEED certification, this multi-disciplined process ensures that a new building works and operates the way it is intended, while avoiding design or installation issues in the future. The Stone House Group's Commissioning process is designed as an independent review and verification of the installation and performance of building energy systems.
The Stone House Group is fully conversant with the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), the Building Commissioning Association (BCxA) and Portland Energy Conservation, Inc. (PECI) commissioning guidelines. We typically find that our commissioning service results in a 15% reduction in annual operational costs for the project.
